General features

Remote system management module MSERV-3s allows us to control the whole smart home system from a tablet or a smartphone connected to the internet via a dedicated mobile app available on iOS and Android.

The module is equipped with 8 relay outputs with separated contacts, thanks to which one can connect devices with various voltage supply values to the module.

The 8 module inputs react to connected voltage (from 2 to 30V DC) and allow for controlling, e.g. built-in relays. Additionally, one can also measure voltage with them in the range of 0-24V. On top of that, installing the latest card image will enable the option to use Node-Red with the module.

Up to 6 Dallas DS18B20 temperature sensors can be connected to MSERV-3s (1-Wire output). The results from the temperature sensor can be used freely to perform certain actions, e.g. to switch pumps, valves, or lights on/off, to display the results on Ampio touch panels, or in order to control the heating system in the house.

The new version of this server module makes it possible to control Ampio Smart Home wireless modules (e.g. RF PR-2p) thanks to the use of LoRa transmitter.

In order to enable the functionality of remote control, a UTP cable with internet connection must be linked to the module. Local network should be configured appropriately in advance for the server to get its own IP address.

Typical application

Temperature control in each room and remote control of devices or advanced lighting are only a few examples of the many functionalities available with MSERV-3s.


The module is to be installed in an electric switchboard. It takes space of 8 regular DIM modules. We suggest that it is installed on the right side of the switchboard, as it needs a UTP cable connected, which happens on the right side of the casing.

The following cables should be connected to the module:

  • Ampio SmartHome CAN transmission wires
  • UTP Ethernet (twisted-pair) cable to connect the module to the Internet
  • *optional – output control wires
  • *optional – input control wires
